| Salary £24,054-£27,852 Per annum | Permanent, Full Time, 37 hours per week | Slyne Road - Lancaster **Adolescent Support Unit Outreach Worker** **Team: North Adolescent Support Unit (FARCYJ)** **Location: Slyne Road, Lancaster** **Basic Salary**:£24,054 to £27,852 **Grade 6 (uplift for alternating shift, weekend and sleep allowance additional **£3,000 **+ dependant on agreed rota) Full time (possibility of part time roles available)** **We are currently recruiting ** **Adolescent Support Unit Outreach Worker **to work within the **North Adolescent Support Unit (FARCYJ) **within **Children's Social Services **at Lancashire County Council. As an ASU worker, your position within Children's Social Services will play a vital role supporting families and young children who are in need of support to **prevent them from entering care **. We are expanding and transforming how we work within our communities to ensure the necessary measures are taken so **families can stay together **. This is a unique role combining vital support with families in their home, alongside a residential respite service for the young people during the weekends. We are keen to hear from people with residential **and/or **experience of working with families in the community. **What we are looking for ** **Passion **- you'll be passionate about making a difference to the lives of children, young people and families; taking a holistic approach both to their mental health support and how it relates to the other challenges that they may be facing. We want you to seek understanding by delving into each case and find out what is driving the problems so issues can be tackled quickly. You will be supportive of your colleagues and keen to develop professionally to provide the best service possible for our families. **Practical **- you'll be a pragmatic thinking with the ability to think rationally and calmly in difficult situations, whilst always keeping the focus on delivering excellent care for the families. Although working in a rota, you will work around the needs of the families allocated to you and will receive the same flexible support from your management team to enable us to achieve the common goals of preventing young people from entering care. **Collaborative - **you'll be working alongside our skilled professionals as well as working with the young people and families who require our support. You will need to build a trusted relationship with families to ensure their engagement and alignment and that they achieve the positive. This requirement will involve undertaking shift work basis and some "sleep in's" when young people are invited to stay at the unit over some weekends and take part in fun activities.
