We are currently seeking a versatile individual to serve as both a Sales Assistant and Warehouse Operative.

**Role Overview**:
The primary responsibility of this role is to serve customers at our Tradecounter, offering excellent customer service and demonstrating a good understanding of building trade products. This role requires a decent level of IT proficiency to efficiently process orders and manage transactions. When not attending to customers, the role transitions to various warehousing duties, including order picking, managing goods in, and pre-packing fixings. This position offers a unique blend of customer interaction and warehouse management, ideal for those who enjoy a diverse working environment.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide outstanding customer service at the Tradecounter, assisting customers with inquiries and processing orders with accuracy and efficiency.
- Develop and maintain a general knowledge of building trade products to effectively advise and support our customers.
- Utilize IT systems to process customer orders, manage transactions, and maintain accurate records.
- Perform warehousing duties during downtime, including order picking, handling goods in, and pre-packing fixings, ensuring the warehouse operates smoothly and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.

**Qualifications**:

- Experience in customer service, sales, or a similar role is preferred.
- Basic understanding of the building trade or willingness to learn.
- Proficient in using IT systems with the ability to quickly adapt to new technologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- A team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.

**Salary**: From £21,673.00 per year
