**Job description**

Waking Night Support Worker

Rate of Pay: £15.40ph + 10% bonus for attendance

This is a role supporting a gentleman overnight in his own home, he is frequently awake during the night and will require support with continence and reassurance given the nature of his condition. The client's wife is in the home too and will offer support to adjust to his needs as you learn the scope of the role.

**Overview of Tasks**:Duties will include assistance:

- in visiting toilet or use of urine bottle
- in getting into and out of bed
- with taking medication (blister packs provided)
- in taking a morning shower and getting dressed
- in household chores that can reasonably completed overnight, e.g. putting items into washing machine/dryer, washing up, mopping floors, preparing food/drinks for the next day
- To undertake any reasonable task requested by the client and family

**Person Specification**
- Ability to use own initiative
- Honest, reliable, efficient, confident and a good timekeeper
- Good sense of humour
- Non smoker
- DBS check required once successful
- Client’s family will be conducting the interviews.

**It is a requirement, due to the nature of this role, that any applicant must have been vaccinated against COVID 19**

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 27 per week

**Salary**: £15.40 per hour

Schedule:

- Weekend availability

- Winsford: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- waking night: 2 years (required)
- Support Worker: 3 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (preferred)
