**Job description**

**About the role**:
As a Night Porter you will be working along side the Night Manager/Night Auditor to carry out any duties throughout the night in order to fulfill our guests needs and exceed their expectations. Operating on the front desk, you are the real ambassadors for the company and committed to consistently delivering high standards.

**Outline Job Description**:

- To carry out multiple security walks of the entire property during your shift, ensuring the building is secure at all times
- To make and deliver room service order to our guests to a high standard
- Assist any late arrivals or early departures in the morning with their luggage and showing guests to their room
- Assisting the Night Manager/Night Auditor with the Night procedures
- Ensuring all conference and meeting rooms are setup ahead of events and to a high standard
- Ensure public areas are well maintained
- Successfully carry out any housekeeping duties where required
- Assist the Night Manager/Night Auditor where possible
- To demonstrate effective communication and handover during and at the end of each shift
- To ensure that all calls are answered promptly and dealt with in a professional and efficient manner
- To ensure that guest expectations are met and exceeded, and a positive and friendly atmosphere is promoted
- To understand and have basic understanding of the front office systems and operating equipment including: Opera and MIWA
- To deal with any guest problems that may arise promptly and effectively during the night

This position includes shifts working weekends, including bank holidays.

Experience within a hospitality setting is preferred but not necessary, as full training will be provided.
