**Overview**:
Supply and Trading (S&T) is the commercial link to the market for Upstream and Downstream & Chemicals (DS&C). S&T applies its knowledge of commodity markets, the well head-to-customer value chain and transportation logistics in the crude, gas, and refined products markets to maximize the value of enterprise assets and enable the commercial success of Upstream and DS&C. S&T buys, sells, and supplies crude oil, refined products, natural gas, and gas liquids to support Chevron's crude and gas production operations and its refining and marketing network. S&T integrates enterprise-wide supply and trading capabilities to capture commercial opportunities across the entire value chain through commercial functional excellence.
Gas Supply and Trading (GSAT) is responsible for marketing Upstream’s gas, LNG and LPG production as well as trading 3rd party volumes. With offices in Perth, Singapore, London, Houston and Calgary our global teams procure, transport, and market pipeline and seabourn gas products to maximize the value of Chevron’s Upstream production. We work in close collaboration with Chevron Shipping, Pipeline and Power and third parties to transport gas for internal and external customers around the world.
GSAT is tightly integrated with the internal Value Chain Optimization (VCO) organization and Upstream to capture opportunities across the entire well head-to-customer value chain. The team collects and leverages market intelligence to deliver incremental value and enhanced profitability through strategic arbitrage, storage and third-party trading, balancing the Chevron system and proactively managing changing gas & gas liquids flows to ensure flow assurance.
This position of NGL Trader is located in London and is part of a global team that is responsible for trading NGLs both from Chevron’s upstream assets as well as 3rd party cargoes. The London team is also responsible for adding value to the business through the commercial risk management of Chevron’s global NGL exposure.
**Responsibilities of this position may include but are not limited to**:
- Responsible for the management of price exposure in the global NGL portfolio.
- Physical NGL trading for cargoes sourced from the US Gulf, West Africa, Middle East and Australia
- Acts as Subject Matter Expert for NGLs and in particular the region across the wider Chevron enterprise.
- Works closely with the global GSAT teams (traders & analysts) to maintain the global NGL team’s fundamental supply and demand viewpoint and contributes to the market Point of View in the Trading time horizon.
- Actively participates with the team to develop physical and financial trading strategies in line with the Point of View.
- Work closely with Origination and Value Chain Optimization (VCO) to identify, evaluate and negotiate structured trading opportunities.
- Participate in the activities of the desk consistent with Chevron policy and controls.
**Required Qualifications**:
- 2-3 years of trading experience in the NGL market
- Expertise in Risk management and hedging principles with aptitude to manage complex commodity risk
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent is required from one of the following fields: Business, Engineering, Maths, Sciences, Finance, Economics, Supply Chain Management or Marketing.
- Requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate ideas and recommendations in a concise and articulate way, both orally and in writing.
- Demonstrates active listening skills to understand others’ ideas and recommendations.
- Energised team player who will be able to assume a wide range / numerous responsibilities in a fast paced environment, with a focus on achieving sustainable business results.
**Relocation Options**:
Relocation will not be considered within Chevron parameters.
