Experienced Cleaner

£12 per hour - 30 hours per week - SELF EMPLOYED BASIS

**Role**

Reactive8 provide supported accommodation to people in Bedford, Kettering and Rushden.

Our core purpose is to help people feel safe and secure at home so they can work towards living independent lives, whilst helping them address any barriers they may be facing. Typically, our client group are those with complex needs, including those with substance misuse. We are looking for a cleaner trained in the various aspects of cleaning in a supported housing environment, helping to remove drug-related paraphernalia, and other biological hazards.

Reactiv8 are recruiting for a friendly and positive individual to join us as the main Cleaner to work across all 3 key areas. This position involves working 30 hours between Monday and Friday, with the opportunity for over-time working as needed. The efforts of the Cleaner are truly appreciated as the team work to ensure our residents feel safe and secure at home, living full and independent lives.

**Main Responsibilities**

As the Cleaner your contributions towards our positive and professional atmosphere will include:

- Cleaning common areas i.e. staff offices, corridors, lounge, staff areas, communal areas in accommodation, such as kitchens and shared bathroom facilities.
- Cleaning lavatories, and client rooms, bath, and shower areas etc.
- Polishing surfaces, furniture and office equipment as required by rota.
- Removal of waste and preparation of client bedrooms when there is a change of tenant. This will require a deep clean of the room.
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors
- Dust and wipe down surfaces
- Clean and sanitize restrooms
- Empty trash and replace liners
- Stock and replenish cleaning supplies as needed
- Follow established cleaning procedures and safety guidelines
- Report any maintenance or repair needs to the supervisor
- **About You**:

- Able to follow cleaning schedules and procedures.
- A flexible approach to work with a can-do attitude.
- Positive mindset
- Communicate effectively with basic writing skills.
- Must drive and have own transport

**Skills**:

- Prior experience in domestic cleaning preferred
- Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and use of cleaning equipment
- Attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions
- Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively

Must be trained to handle drug paraphernalia and biological hazards

Own Transport is essential, however, mileage will be paid at £0.45 per mile.
