We are currently seeking a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to work with our 19-year-old daughter and 13-year-old son who are both full time wheelchair users and needs assistance with completing everyday tasks. The PCA will work closely with them, and the family, assisting with daily activities such as showering, dressing, food preparation, social activities, etc, as well as supporting them to look after the pet dogs. This position requires a caring and compassionate attitude toward others and an ability to communicate clearly and effectively.

You will need to be a driver and have access to your own vehicle as we live in Urswick and there is no public transport, and you will be required to drive the motability wheelchair vehicle to take them out.

Shifts are usually around 4-10 hours long, and will be between the hours of 7.30am and midnight, 7 days a week. There will be expectation of evening and weekend work.

We are currently looking for 30 permanent hours and 10 temporary hours, which could be covered by one or more people. Potential for additional hours to cover other staff holidays and sickness.

Pay: £15.75 per hour
