**Teaching Assistant Role Information**

An amazing school in the borough of Hounslow, West London. They are looking for several Teaching Assistant staff to work in two of their sites to support children with severe learning difficulties and autistic spectrum disorder.

You will be working with students (3-11 years old), who has severe or profound and multiple learning difficulties, some of whom also have an additional diagnosis of autism. Many of these students have difficulties in communicating and relating to people.The students will be working at low levels using a creative and multi-sensory curriculum designed to build up their social communication skills. Some children have difficulties with fine motor skills and may need help with everyday tasks, such as getting changed,cutting up food/feeding, mobility and personal hygiene including washing or using the toilet. Some of these students can show some challenging behaviour also, but this amazing school provides supportive environment and to teach children to communicate theirneeds in more appropriate ways to support children who are showing challenging behaviour, so you are not alone to with this, you will also have an amazing SLT who supports you and your work.
