We have an exciting opportunity for a qualified or part-qualified Financial Accountant to join a well-established award-winning business based in Tunbridge Wells.

This is a new, hybrid role, that has become available, due to international growth.

As the Financial Accountant, you will be responsible month end reconciliations, journal posting and other financial accounting duties. You will oversee ledgers (sales, purchase, and nominal ledger) and have two direct reports within AP and AR.

We are looking for an organised, articulate and disciplined individual to assist with the day-to-day financial matters.

you will be working closely with various departments to ensure the smooth operation across the monthly reconciliations.

Some of your role will include:

- Month end nominal account and inter-company reconciliations
- Assist in the preparation of statutory accounts
- Assist the finance manager with VAT returns
- Help to streamline the month end process
- Manage purchase ledger assistant ensuring all invoices are appropriately checked, matched to POs, payments processed appropriately, supplier statement reconciliations
- Manage sales ledger and credit controller
- Work alongside the orders team to spot potential/review issues prior to invoices being raised. Raise potential issues with orders team and finance where necessary
- Assist within all parts of the Finance team to cover where necessary

You will need to be:

- AAT qualified / part qualified or qualified (CIMA, ACCA, etc)
- Great attention to detail - reconciling day to day numbers, raising questions where abnormalities occur.
- Problem Solving abilities - we have recently moved on to a new system and there are all kinds of challenges that will require someone to think outside the box to resolve challenges
- Confidence with numbers within an adaptable environment
- Good communication
- will be a part of a small finance team that works closely with the operational team, clear communication is key
- Willingness to learn - we are looking for someone who is willing to help and learn in a variety of different functions and areas of the business
- Computer proficient Microsoft office basics - confidence in excel

**Role: Financial Accountant
Location: Tunbridge Wells (Hybrid, attending the office for month end and occasional meetings when required)
Hours: Full-time (Monday to Friday)

**Salary**: £30,000 - £40,000 Depending on experience
