Promote insight and understanding of mental health issues to service users, carers, and other agencies Contribute to audit, research and evaluation The post holder will work within a multi-disciplinary CMHT and core responsibilities will include: Working as part of a team of Mental Health Practitioners to deliver care to patients who are experiencing first episode psychosis. Comprehensive assessment of new referrals To work with relevant legislation Working with a shared caseload defined by need Shift coordination on a rota basis Delivering supervision to more junior members of staff Contribute to service development Clinical Carry out comprehensive assessments of an individuals health and social care needs in a variety of settings and agree the most appropriate course of action To assess, evaluate and manage clinical risk To formulate a plan of care based on identified need Deliver evidence-based interventions as appropriate Contribute to physical health reviews Review effectiveness of care plan at regular intervals including contribution to MDT discussion To work collaboratively with service users, carers and partner agencies To maintain computer held care records in an accurate and timely fashion Undertake all work in a culturally sensitive manner Act in accordance with local and national policies, procedures and legislation Develop effective working relationships with key stakeholders Supervision Regularly discuss clinical work with supervisor to promote efficacy and contribute to the overall management the teams caseload Deliver clinical and pastoral supervision to more junior members of staff and facilitate their annual Professional Development Review Participate in own PDR process, identifying training and development needs, and pursuing relevant actions to maintain and improve level of competence and effective contribution Education and Training Provide supervision and learning opportunities to students across disciplines. Keep up to date with relevant course and curriculum developments relating to students from your discipline. Participate in training relevant to role as appropriate
