Stores Operative

**Job description**

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Stores Person to join our team at Dalkia UK. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis based in Runcorn.

**Job Purpose**:

- Managing the storage and distribution of material and components

**Aims and Objectives**:

- To Control, manage and maintain required stock levels
- To provide an efficient service to the project department, purchasing department and branches
- Organise the courier on a daily basis to ship goods to suppliers and branches

**Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities**:

- Processing Goods in
- Check and sign off deliveries as they arrive. Match up goods with relevant Purchase Order. Label up equipment with all the required details. Book in deliveries on computer system and place on project /service / unspecified shelf.
- Processing Projects Goods out - Ensure Picking List is up to date, check engineer/project manager is allowed the goods by reading picking list. Locate required material and check off with Project Manager. Ensure the relevant paperwork has the correct sign off and issue the goods.
- Process Service stock out
- Using the Engineers stores material movement book, check all relevant information is filled in and provide the goods from either the service shelf or unspecified shelf. Pass the stores movement slip to stores and Purchasing Clerk for processing.
- Aged/Project stock
- Compile a report for slow moving or aged stock as and when required.
- H&S & Environment compliance.
- Plant issue and control
- Fill in documentation for all new plant that is purchased for stock using plant transfer book. Fill in plant transfer book for all plant that flows through the stores department. All plant that leaves or enters stores must have the relevant documentation
- Cycle counts
- Carry out 50 cycle check on a weekly basis investigating any discrepancies.
- Assist in YE stock
- take event
- Participate in YE stock take as when required
- Housekeeping - Stores are must be kept clean and tidy at all times.
- Organise the courier on a daily basis to ship goods to suppliers and branches

**Working Relationships**:

- Interface with Purchasing department, Project Managers, project Engineers,Service Department and Project Administration.
- Interface with Suppliers and Branches.

**Person Specification**:
The knowledge, skills, qualifications and experience relevant to the position are:

- Past experience within a stores environment
- IT Literacy and ability to use Microsoft Office
- Multi - tasking, self - motivated, energetic team player with a flexible and adaptable approach to work
- Confidentiality of Commercially sensitive information
- Good Communication/Team working skills
