In this role, you will be focused on our Safety, Health, and Wellbeing Strategy, and ensuring compliance with the Thames Water management system, standards, processes, and procedures. You will provide technical, problem-solving expert support both on-site and remotely to ensure the safe running of Thames Waters undertakings.

The role will be field-based in London but with hybrid working.

**What you’ll be doing as a Health, Safety & Wellbeing Advisor**:

- Advise stakeholders (which will include wholesale, support service staff and contractors) on Safety, Health, and well-being matters including compliance with applicable legislation and industry best practices by liaising with enforcing authorities and professional groups.
- On site 3 days per week being the face of Health, Safety and Wellbeing for London
- Raise awareness in the business and deliver training in line with the annual training plan.
- Lead and undertake audits/inspections and incident investigations.
- Assist in the review and agreement process of safe systems of work and risk assessments where there is a significant risk to safety and the environment.
- Assist with advice on some of the company's high-risk sites that come under the COMAH regulations, enabling confined space sewer entries, and ensuring safe and secure isolations are provided.

**What you should bring to the role**
- NEBOSH / NCRQ Diploma or working towards it, and a certified or chartered member of IOSH. (CertIOSH. CMIOSH)
- Technical knowledge of the water industry would be advantageous, if you have construction or water industry background, please specify it in cover letter.
- Experience in isolations/permits, manual handling, street works, legionella, asbestos, chemical, statutory inspections, machinery safety and process safety.
- Full UK Driving license.
- Excellent communication skills - written and verbal and able to communicate with senior business leaders.
- Have a passion for Health, Safety and Wellbeing lead by example and be comfortable debating ideas and initiatives to inspire.
