Deli Assistant

**THE COMPANY**:
Go Fresh is internal staff canteen offering a taste of home, with wholesome freshly-cooked dishes from around the world. With its friendly atmosphere, Go Fresh serves up traditional English and international dishes, all cooked in our own kitchens.

A busy deli restaurant/staff canteen based at Bernard Weatherill House, Croydon specialising in freshly-prepared food served Monday - Friday.

The restaurant offers:
Freshly prepared salad counter

A selection of cakes, fine hot and cold snacks

A small à la carte hot menu Fresh coffee and speciality teas

An extensive Fair-trade selection

Indoor and outdoor seating areas

**THE ROLE**:
General daily duties include (but are not limited to):

- Presentation of counters
- Taking customer orders - breakfast & lunchtimes
- Taking note of any allergies and or dietary requirements
- Keeping food preparation counters clean and sanitised
- Assisting with food deliveries
- Assisting with the preparation of food and drinks
- General cleaning duties

Hours: 30+ hours per week - hours to be arranged.

Days: Monday to Friday

**Salary**: £11.50 per hour

**THE CANDIDATE**:

- Previous experience working in busy canteens/delis is essential (applicants without this won't be considered)
- Food Hygiene certificate (desirable)
- Good level of English & Maths
- Ability to cover functions if and when required
- Ability to work under pressure
- Good communication
- Proven team-working skills
