**Role Overview** - 3D **Artist **- **12 month** **on-site/remote **contract**

SEGA HARDlight is looking for an experienced 3D artist / prop artist to help us deliver a new, exciting and ambitious platform title we have in development. This is a contract position for up to 12 months to start later in the year and can be performed remotely or in our UK studio.

This role is suitable for someone who has experience and passion for creating stylised gameplay assets and environment props to a high and consistent quality, we are looking for someone who can hit the ground running on a live production.

You will understand the limitations of a mobile game, and how to create optimised models and textures without compromising on the end visual.
**Duties**
- Create gameplay and environment models that adhere to an established art style and quality.
- Ensure all assets are optimised and follow required technical requirements
- Setting up and testing assets in Unity
- Suggest improvements to the asset creation and sign off workflow and pipeline
- Work with the art lead to help with planning work and deliverables
**Essential Skills & Experience**
- Excellent knowledge of Substance Painter and Designer to create PBR textures and materials
- Ability to create stylised hand-painted textures in Photoshop
- Experience of low-poly 3D modelling and efficient texturing
- A good eye for creating stylised models and textures
- A Pro-active & collaborative work attitude
**A portfolio demonstrating all aspects of your skill is REQUIRED**
**Bonus **experience**s**
- Experience of creating full game environments or characters
- Experience of lighting environments, creating particles, materials and prefabs in Unity/Unreal
- Knowledge of Z-Brush or other sculpting software
- Able to help design and concept new props using methods such as mockups, prototypes, or concepts
- Experience of working with Perforce and Source Tree / Git version control
