We are looking to recruit additional Bank waken night-shift staff members to become an integral part of a long established and supportive team at our Edinburgh service.

Here at The Richmond Fellowship Scotland we make a real difference in supporting people with their everyday lives. This could involve practical support with the person's daily life, personal care or helping to promote a positive, active and healthy lifestyle.

We support over 2800 individuals with a variety of needs, some may have physical and/or learning disabilities and Mental Health some with limited verbal communication and some with challenging behaviour.

Shifts are usually from 10pm to 8am.

No previous experience in care is required as you will be provided with full training by our excellent and award-winning learning & development team prior to starting. This training initially consists of classroom-based sessions and e-learning as well as the opportunity to shadow current Support Practitioners in their day-to-day role and meet the people you will be supporting.

**About the Role**:
Your responsibilities as a Bank Support Practitioner could include:

- **Social Support**:

- Assisting individuals to engage with their communities by planning and attending outings to various leisure activities such as day centres, cinema, swimming etc.
- **Medical Support**:

- Administering and monitoring medication.
- **Personal Care**:

- Assisting people to maintain their wellbeing by promoting their personal care which would include assistance with bathing, dressing, arranging visits with the dentist/doctor, incontinence care.
- **Practical Support**:

- Helping people to maintain their tenancy by encouraging daily household tasks such as general housework, laundry, ironing, cooking, shopping.
