Head of Ops

**Head of Operations & Supply Chain. Based on Site in York. Salary: £45,000-£50,000**

Due to continued year on year growth and significant investment in the Brand positioning and route to market, 47SKIN is now embarking on a clear product and target audience strategy that will help create more amazing products, engaging content / stories that resonate with this audience and generate high lifetime value. Finally, a number of new roles across the business have been created to help expedite growth, this being one of them.

**About The Role**:
Reporting to our Operations Director, as Head of Operations and Supply Chain, you will be a natural leader and will be capable of getting the best from our in-house operations team and partners. While 75% of your time will be spent on delivering on the 47SKIN promise ‘today’ (this quarter, this FY etc) you will work closely with the Operations Director to assess and implement new systems, processes and best practices to ensure our operations capability remains suitable for keeping pace with the growth of the business to £100m+ over the next 3-5 years. Additionally, you’ll be working closely, in partnership with our numerous suppliers to deliver our products to our handful of distribution centres globally in the most efficient way possible, the right stock at the right time. You’ll manage our POs, suppliers, deliveries and ensure we have accurate stock / turnover in our ERP.

**Main Accountabilities**:

- Lead and manage our 1st party fulfilment daily to ensure smooth operations which result in fabulous customer experience.
- Lead supply chain to ensure Goods-In and onsite stock levels always meet the needs of the business / demand creation teams.
- Work closely with the wider business to ensure new systems implementation is timely and deployed with mínimal business interruption.
- Daily / Weekly reporting on fulfilment and customer service activity.
- Analyse returns reasons with the wider business to eliminate regular shipping and customer purchasing errors.
- Collaborate with Tech partners to ensure bugs / errors are flagged and eliminated.
- Effectively communicate and collaborate with Customer Care, Product, Trading and Finance functions.
- work with broader product & operations functions to source and inbound the right products, stock volume
- negotiate contracts with suppliers and customers
- control inbound delivery processes
- plan and implement logístical strategy, ensuring targets are met
- use computer software to track goods from origin to delivery
- work on forecasts and inventories, keeping an accurate record of the process and analysing performance
- manage the costs involved while maintaining quality
- ensure you're aware of exactly what is happening throughout the supply chain both in volume and legal / moral manufacturing / sourcing processes
- improve the overall supply chain performance and look for any possible innovations to the process
- develop new and existing relationships with suppliers
- manage and minimise the risks (for example operational or reputational) that could affect or interrupt the supply chain
- consider the environmental impact of the supply chain in order to meet sustainability targets
- implement new technologies and stay alert to new trends and developments in the sector.

- Have a deep understanding of manufacturing production processes / 3PL / Fulfilment Centre operations
- Have working knowledge of customer experience / service team leadership and tools / optimise processes while increasing customer satisfaction
- You’re a ‘natural leader’; obsessed with delivering your promise to customers
- Efficiency and cost reduction and increasing customer experience is at the heart of everything you do;
- Have a proven track record as an operations manager, who understands the importance of the customer;
- You are independent and self-directed but able to work and lead a team of creative individuals;
- Happy to travel to local / global fulfilment centres as / when needed;
- A quick learner who can process lots of information and prioritise action.

**Experience & skills**:

- 3+ years of managing operations 1PL / 3PL / Fulfilment within Wholesale / eCommerce or similar;
- Working knowledge with the major Retail & Customer Service OMS, WMS, ERP & Middleware systems.
- Advanced Excel skills essential
- 3+ years’ proven supply chain management / leadership within a omnichannel FMCG brand
- proven international / cross border experience moving
