Academics are working with a Primary school in Grays, Essex, who are currently looking to appoint an SEND TA. This school offer excellent support and training so will be a great opportunity for the New Year. This will be a full time, long term position.

If you are creative, pro-active and have worked with Special Educational Needs in either work or your personal life then please keep reading

**The Role**:

- Working collaboratively with the class teacher to provide excellent learning to all pupils with a range of abilities
- Providing support and assistance to individual students or small groups
- Supervising pupils outside the classroom during lunchtime, field trips or break time
- You may be required to work collaboratively with outside specialists, adopting a multi-agency approach

**The Applicant**:

- Hold a current DBS on the update service or be willing to have one processed
- A Teaching Assistant or other relevant qualification is desirable but not a necessity
- Knowledge of the additional needs that a child with SEND may have, and how to support them
- The applicant should be a patient, compassionate, calm, and approachable individual who is good at building rapport with pupils
- You must have a desire to make a difference to young people lives
- Have experience working with children or young people
- Have GCSE grade C or equivalent in English and Maths and
