**Within the role of designer, we look for someone to be able to fulfil the Disturbia competencies and what we expect from a designer. These capabilities are**:
**1.** **Commercial and brand awareness - **We require an individual who understands the brand aesthetic, our customers and keeps a keen eye on our brand competitors.

**2.** **Strategy and planning - **You must be able to work within a team, champion and support each other, communicate well within team meetings and externally and be able to identify any risks or opportunities for the design department. Research, know your stuff and be consistent.

**3.** **Design - **We need a designer to have good product and technical knowledge, creates inspiring designs and shows passion about them, the brand, and its influences. You must be able to be proactive and seek out new influences and inspiration and feed this back to the design team.

**4.** **Personal work ethic - **We need someone to embody the values that we hold dear here at Disturbia. We need you to show passion, good judgement, have courage, be honest and selfless. The work ethic we require is someone who works willingly on any given task and understands the bigger picture and the needs of the design department as a whole and the business. Offer solutions, use your voice but don’t shout. We require someone who can work under pressure and hit deadlines. **Job role & requirements (not exhaustive)**
- To conduct seasonal research, trend analysis, and to create mood boards.
- To develop and design market focused multi-product across all current ranges which include women's and men's jersey, woven, outerwear, denim, footwear, and accessories, in line with the brand aesthetic.
- To design with a strong awareness of price architecture, margins and market pricing.
- Creation of product specification and technical packs/size charts.
- To undertake garment fitting and sample amendments.
- Production management from sampling to production, working in line with critical path and deadlines; liaising with factories and negotiating pricing.
- Factory visits and fabric sourcing trips.

**What we require**:

- Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role.
- Fashion Design Degree or similar.
- Previous Production Management experience.
- An excellent technical understanding of garment design, fabrication and fit.
- Excellent knowledge of our market sector.
- Strong CAD, excellent Photoshop and Illustrator skills.
- Confidence, self motivation and excellent trend awareness.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Experience using spreadsheets: Excel / Numbers.
- Graphic design interest and experience a bonus.
