Manchester, United Kingdom Tag Group Full time

**Division**:Finance

**Job type**:Accounting

**Location**:(UK) Manchester

**The Who**:
In 1988, our founders had an ambitious dream to form the largest specialized travel company in the world - to set the example of how touring and travel should be done. The belief that travel is one of the most emotive experiences you undertake and our ambition to make this experience the absolute best it can be for the traveller, has become the guiding principle for TAG.

We believe that through a bespoke, high-touch and personal service, we can alleviate the stress and complexity of travel. So, whether it is a business meeting to close a deal, an event to meet industry peers or a gig for 50,000 screaming fans, we will get our clients to where they need to be feeling ready to take on the world.

**The Why**:
At TAG, our company values matter. We appreciate our staff working as a **T**eam, having **A**mbition and being **G**enuine.

You will have a passion for the job you do, as well as a drive to want to do better - in return, TAG will support your growth and development, as well as offer opportunities to progress or maybe even change tack

**The What**:
The **Interim Accounts Payable Assistant **is responsible for a variety of Accounts Payable activities. The position includes tasks involving invoices, credit cards, reconciliations and general finance duties. This role sits within the UK Finance team and supports the wider function alongside many accounting colleagues.

Here are some of the things you’ll be getting involved with:

- Carry out all Accounts Payable tasks
- Raise client invoices and charge client credit cards
- Assist operational TAG Agents and Independent Consultants with queries and invoicing
- Download and reconcile company credit cards
- Facilitate enquiries in the relevant mailboxes and provide query resolution
- Produce periodic (daily, weekly, monthly) reports for internal stakeholders as requested/required
- Collaborate with the Receivables and BSP teams and the Management Accountants
- Assist with month-end routines and year-end accounts including related audit preparation
- Liaise with overseas Finance colleagues as and when necessary
- Help test/prepare new system implementations
- Perform other duties as may be assigned from time to time

**The How**:
To be successful at TAG is as much about mindset and attitude as it is about skill-set and qualifications. We’re a team that shares the same desire and passion to go above and beyond for each and every client. We revel in making the seemingly impossible possible, always rising to the challenge with ambition and a genuine, open attitude.

We work flexibly to accommodate our TAG team colleagues, meaning on occasion there could be requirements ‘outside of office hours’ to manage time zones and other work commitments.

As an Interim Accounts Payable Assistant there are several credentials and attributes which would be advantageous, but a determined attitude and willingness to learn, are equally important.
- Minimum of 1 year Accounts Payable experience
- Accounts Receivables experience
- Accounting experience within the travel industry
- Travcom or other finance travel packages
- Excel skills at intermediate level or higher
- Proven record of working in a fast-paced environment
- A service-oriented team player who can interchange independent work with departmental teamwork
- An enquiring and analytical mindset with the ability to spot and resolve errors
- Consistent attention to detail with a calm and considered approach to work volumes
- Good time management with appreciation of changeable priorities
- Adaptable to a variety of people and circumstances, and working between different teams/individuals
- Excellent communication skills with an ability to build a rapport with a range of stakeholders
- Flexibility to working hours and a willingness to work a Shift-rata basis, cover absence of global colleagues and travel to other UK or global offices

**The Where and When**:
This is a full-time role based in Manchester. You will report into the Accounts Payable Manager, who is also based in Manchester. There are other regional teams based in the US, Australia, New Zealand and Singapore that you may work closely with, too.

**The Important Bit**:
As passionate as you may be about changing the face of travel, let’s be honest - you're not doing this for free. So, here’s our promise to you:

- Competitive salary DOE
- Enhanced employer pension contributions

We are also committed to offering an equal opportunity for all employees and applicants.

**How to Apply**:
And before you press send, please make sure you’re eligible to work in the UK
