Butler Rose are delighted to be supporting our client, a well-established, highly successful mid-tier firm of chartered accountants with a music and entertainment sector specialism that are now keen to appoint a Semi-Senior Accountant to complement their team.
Role Responsibilities:
Review and finalisation of accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
Preparation of business and personal tax computations.
Completion of personal (SA100) and corporate (CT600) tax returns.
Completion of IXBRL tagging and submission of accounts to Companies House and HMRC.
Preparation of management accounts and cashflows.
Planning of workflow.
Reporting to partners on job progress and financial targets.
Supervision and training of junior staff members and assisting in technical issues.
Planning and implementation of technical changes to accounts.
Person Requirements
- ACA or ACCA part-qualified or AAT-qualified with at least 2+ years' experience in a similar role within practice.
Excellent technical knowledge of current accounting and ideally, auditing standards.
Excellent tax knowledge across the spectrum - personal, corporate, and capital gains tax.
Organised and methodical and have good attention to detail.
Experienced in using CCH, Xero and other software packages and proficient in the use of MS Office.
Good communication skills both written and oral.
The ability to follow instructions and prioritise workload but be capable of managing a portfolio independently.
The ability to use own initiative and find solutions to problems.
