I am pleased to be partnering with a leading Food Manufacturing in North Cambridge, who are looking for an ambitious Assistant Management Accountant/Finance Analyst to join their commercial finance team.

Initially it is offered as a 12 month fixed term contract, to cover a period of maternity leave within the team, but with the company experiencing growth and focussing on continuous improvement, there could be future opportunity to stay within the Groupat the end of the contract.

This is a fast paced, highly commercial, analytical role which would perfectly suit someone who is mid-way through their CIMA studies, that has already had exposure to management accounting processes.

You'll be responsible for some of the more 'traditional' management accounts responsibilities such as balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, journals etc - but what this role offers in addition to this, is the opportunity to be heavily involvedin more commercial finance responsibilities, such as;
- Analysis and Reporting Providing insight to the leadership team with regards to sales trends, profitability reporting, how promotions affect sales and reporting on variance against forecast following promotional periods etc
- Business Partnering with operations and sales teams - supporting them by creating customer reports and analysing customer data
- Supporting the Head of Finance with SOX audit and compliance

Hybrid working is available, working 3 days in the office and 2 from home, so living within a commutable distance is preferred. They are however easily accessible by public transport, or should you wish to drive, there is plenty of parking on site.
