**About this role**
The Scottish Retail team comprises 4 senior advisors and 1 secretary/PA. The team specialises in all aspects of the retail, leisure and food and beverage markets. The core client base includes a range of institutional, property company and private investor clients ranging from individual City/Town centre retail units to large, multi let shopping centres.
The team are extremely active in a fast-paced and busy retail market, and we advise both landlords with strategy and leasing advice and occupiers embarking on expansion programmes, providing acquisition and location advice. Collaboration between other offices with National Retail representation is fundamental, as is communication with 15 other teams based in Savills Glasgow office
The role is to assist fee earners as well as develop their own identity within the National Retail team and wider Scottish retail market. This will include:
- Property marketing including preparation of brochures
- Undertaking property inspections and measurement surveys.
- Attending client meetings
- Assisting with transactions, including negotiations
- Report writing
- Undertake property viewings and preparation of marketing reports for disposals (use of own car essential - business use insurance required)
- Variety of other tasks associated with commercial agency
- Carrying out market research including property searches
**About the team**

Good communication and organisational skills are vital to succeed as an Apprentice. You will need the ability to manage a varied workload working as part of a team while also having the ability to use your own initiative, and be passionate about delivering the best service possible for your team and clients.

**Training**
This is a 5 year training programme Level 10 Apprenticeship in Scotland, which includes a part time undergraduate degree (4 years) and an APC training programme (2 years, enrolled in year 4 of the undergraduate degree) leading to become a Chartered Surveyor with an MRICS qualification. On the job training is provided to ensure all the required knowledge and experience is obtained throughout the 5 year apprenticeship to qualify successfully.

We ensure that your Continuing Professional Development (CPD) is current and that all staff are fully up-to-date with changes to legislation and business needs.
