You will be working for a premium and award-winning producer of delicious and authentic branded products.

Operating within their BRC AA Grade purpose-built facility, the business is currently undergoing a great period of expansion and expanding its nationwide customer base which already includes the UK major retailers, catering, hospitality, and other premiumestablishments.

**About the Technical Manager job**

You will be responsible for the management, training, and performance of the technical and quality assurance function, ensuring all raw materials and finished products meet legislation, specification, and food safety requirements.

Key tasks:

- Manage and regularly review the Food Safety & Quality Management and HACCP systems and ensure robust implementation across the business.
- Manage the QA and hygiene function to support compliance with BRCGS standards and customer codes of practice.
- Ensure operational and NPD projects are completed in line with customer and company schedules from a technical point of view.
- Drive the 'audit ready’ agenda on-site, managing all site audits and assessments.
- Manage the supplier approval process and supplier evaluation activities.
- Develop policies and procedures in line with risk assessments.
- Manage any customer issues and non-compliance incidents, developing and implementing corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.

**About You**
- Strong quality assurance/technical experience within food manufacturing (ideally 10 years +) with preferably 5+ years in a management role.
- Educated to a degree level in food science or food safety discipline preferred.
- A background working with high-risk, high-care food products.
- Excellent knowledge of food safety requirements including BRC and customer (retailer) standards.
- Qualifications such as Level 3 HACCP and Food Safety, Food Hygiene, Internal Auditing etc. are all highly desirable.

The Technical Manager job is based in Carmarthenshire, South Wales and is paying up to £50,000 according to your skills & experience.

The package includes 24 days of annual leave plus statutory holidays and the possibility of a company fuel card provided depending on your commuting distance.

The working hours are Monday to Friday, 8 am to 4 pm.
