**Position Summary**

The Warehouse Operative will maintain the warehouse and yard in good order. Including the loading and unloading of deliveries, pick and packing of parts and equipment, occasional deliveries to customers and supporting the Warehouse Manager.

**Role and Responsibilities**

Role and responsibilities will include:

- Receiving and Checking Incoming Stock: This involves unloading deliveries, verifying quantities against delivery notes, and checking for any damage or discrepancies.
- Forklift Operation: Safely operating forklifts to move, lift, and stack heavy inventory.
- Stock Management: Organising and maintaining the stock. This includes placing goods in the correct storage areas, performing regular stock checks, and updating stock records.
- Product Knowledge: Build knowledge of products and spare parts provided by the company, including part identification.
- Picking and Packing Orders: Selecting items from the warehouse to fulfill customer orders, packing them securely, and preparing them for shipment.
- Loading and Unloading: Using forklifts or manual handling to load and unload goods from trucks or other transport vehicles.
- Basic mechanical assembly: some products require simple mechanical assembly prior to delivery to customers.
- Maintaining Safety and Cleanliness: Ensuring the warehouse is kept clean and tidy to prevent accidents and comply with health and safety regulations.
- Equipment Maintenance: Reporting and performing routine checks and maintenance tasks on forklifts and other warehouse equipment to ensure they are safe and functional.
- Stock Control: Using inventory management systems to track stock levels, orders, deliveries, and dispatches.
- Compliance with Laws and Regulations: Adhering to legal guidelines regarding warehouse operations, particularly in handling and storing hazardous materials.

**Qualifications and Experience**

Qualifications and experience:

- Experience in a similar role is beneficial as it and understanding of agricultural equipment and industry.
- An understanding of the relevant aspects of Health and Safety is important, training will be provided as required.
- Have a full UK driving license.
- Good IT skills are essential, including experience of using an ERP system and MS office software.
- Good communication skills are needed for coordinating with team members and handling documentation.
- Being able to efficiently organize stock and manage time effectively is important in this role.
- Accuracy in picking orders, counting stock, and entering data is essential.
- Ability to quickly address and resolve issues that may arise during warehouse operations.

You will be expected to support our customers and ensure we deliver our products and services to a highest standard, on time and in full when it really matters.

**Salary**: £11.50-£13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
