Nursery Cook

JOB SUMMARY
- Mon, Weds and Fri 9.30-5.30pm_
- Tues and Thurs 9.30-1.15pm_

More hours available if needed.

(plus 2x Saturday training days & some evening meetings throughout the year, which are all paid as extra).

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

**Level 2 or 3 Food Hygiene Qualified team member is required.**

At least 1 years experience within a kitchen/catering/cooking field is essential and some of this time working on your own.

DUTIES
- Following the company's menus and recipes
- Liaising with parents, staff & supervisors where needed to meet the dietary needs of the children
- Maintaining & updating dietary/allergy records for children
- Stock rotation
- Preparing & Serving hot meals twice per day to 35-45 children (or handing over to the kitchen assistant when you're not in)
- Batch cooking
- Able to work within a time frame and organise time effectively
- Able to work alone and maintain productivity
- Able to work as a job share with a kitchen assistant
- Completing & maintaining daily/weekly/monthly/food temperature checklists (already in place)
- Food ordering (training of this after 2-3 months of employment)
- Maintain a high level of cleanliness and follow infection control/cross contamination procedures. Full training is given
- General cleaning tasks
- Occasional covering of Nursery staff of their lunches so supervising and encouraging children to eat their meals. Full training is given.

- Rural farm location with lots of Outdoor learning for the children

**No local public transport links as a rural location so own transport or a reliable lift is essential**

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 30-33 per week

**Salary**: £10.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday

COVID-19 considerations:
Hand sanitising stations are provided and regular use encouraged. Masks are optional

**Experience**:

- Kitchen: 1 year (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Level 2 Food hygiene certificate (preferred)
- Level 3 Food hygiene certificate (preferred)
