**About the Role**
**Job Title**: Senior Craftsperson (Jointer/Linesperson/RRO)
**Base Location**:Melksham, Swindon, Andover, or Oxford.
**Salary**: £35,142 to £40,246 plus a range of other benefits to support your family, finances, and wellbeing.
**Working Pattern**: Permanent | Full Time
Working on our LV, HV and EHV network, you will safely construct, maintain and repair the electrical distribution network, connecting new supplies, diversion and alterations to locating and repairing faults in line with policy and standards, to meet and exceed customer and regulator expectations. The Senior Craftsperson will have additional responsibility for the site safety practices, cost management of the work and supporting team development.
This role is a transitional position to our Network Engineer role, it is expected that incumbents will actively manage skills and personal development to achieve a successful appointment when available.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Ability and knowledge to engage at all levels and instil a high-performing culture.
- Actively role model the SSE values and Operational Safety Rules.
- Operational Authorisations current for craft role.
- Category 7 authorisations _*Must be achieved in first 12 months after appointment. Should this not be attained, the incumbent would revert to their previous craft role._
- Cat 12 & Cat 14 authorisations. (11kv SAP PTW).

- New Roads & Streetworks Act (NRSWA).
