We are seeking **skilled Locum Healthcare Assistants** to support **GP practices** in **Somerset**. Whether you're looking for **ad-hoc shifts**, **short-term placements**, or **regular locum work**, we can offer flexible opportunities to suit your availability.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist in the delivery of **high-quality patient care** within a GP practice setting.
- Conduct **NHS Health Checks** and support **chronic disease management**.
- Perform clinical duties such as **blood pressure checks**, **ECGs**, **phlebotomy**, and **urinalysis**.
- Administer **vaccinations** (if trained) and assist with **wound care**.
- Provide **health promotion advice** and support patients with **lifestyle changes**.
- Collaborate with **GPs**, **nurses**, and the wider healthcare team.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience as a **Healthcare Assistant** in a **GP surgery** or **primary care setting**.
- Competency in **phlebotomy**, **ECGs**, **health checks**, and basic **wound care**.
- Relevant **Care Certificate** or equivalent healthcare qualifications.
- Ability to work **independently** and adapt to different practice environments.
