Working as part of the Site Safety Team. This role will play an integral part of supporting the Banbury manufacturing HSE management System.

**Key responsibilities of the role**:

- Provide solid Health & Safety advice, ensuring working practices are compliant throughout the business.
- Support Site Safety KPI Compliance
- To carry out regular site inspections and assessments to ensure correct Health & Safety policies and procedures are being properly implemented
- To prepare a site health and safety plan for the year based on site, strategic and legislative needs
- To prepare and maintain Job Safety Analysis for each role onsite
- Record Near Miss reports and liaise with relevant departments to action the improvements required in order of risk rating and priority in a timely manner.
- To carry out Risk assessments as required by legislation and other bodies on tasks, equipment and job role
- To regularly audit and inspect each department/area for health and safety compliance
- Develop, deliver, and evaluate health and safety training requirements for all staff in line with legislative and strategic business requirements.
- Carry out weekly site compliance audits of all departments on a rolling schedule and report on the findings at the time of the audit.
- Assist in the annual audits of site (MOS, ISO), so that compliance meets the target set for weekly/annual compliance
- Develop a roadmap to increase BOS engagement with further access for associates.
- Ensure safety is discussed and tracked at the right level within packing and Process (Near misses/Accidents briefed, Safety Action escalations discussed, BOS tracked, Gemba's assigned with feedback given and recorded through visible accountability) Control measures implemented
- Document and Data Control owner for ISO
- Own and define the agenda of local safety meetings
- Own COSHH subgroup

**Qualifications**:

- MUST HAVE NEBOSH General
- MUST HAVE Manufacturing / Factory / Machinery background
- Ideally FMCG plant/Factory experience or a clear understanding (work experience, exposure etc)
- Strong communication skills to influence stakeholders in the importance of implementing and maintaining safety standards
- A hunger and passion to drive a positive Health & Safety culture
- Strong autonomy - The ability to own your role and make decisions and actions, sometimes without having all the data available

This position is based at our Manufacturing site in Banbury. The Health & Safety Advisor is part of the H&S team who form a key part of the wider Manufacturing function. The Manufacturing function ensures the integration of all key business processes from supplier to customers, green coffee beans to award winning coffee. The team covers sourcing, procurement, manufacturing, engineering, supply chain and planning processes, they ensure optimal alignment between demand and supply at a global scale.
