The All-age Eating Disorder Service in Kent and Medway are currently looking for a Business Support Officer to join our children's leadership team.

The Business Support Officer role will support the Directorate Senior Leadership team, Assistant Director for Children and Young Peoples Mental Heath Services (Kent & Medway) and Director of Children's Services to ensure the service achieves contracted performance targets and takes corrective actions to address performance challenges.

The role covers services across Kent and Medway, the post holder will report to the Business Manager for Children's Services Essex. Home and flexible working arrangements in line with Covid-19 guidance is included based on service need.

Probationary Period

If you are shortlisted, you will be invited to interview within one week of the advert closing. Applicants are expected to complete an intray exercise at interview stage. Interview panel will include Business Managers from Children and Adult Services within Essex and Kent.

Where a post is successful, applicants are required to undertake an assessment for these skills during the pre-employment checks.

Starting with NELFT

NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop in sessions focussing in engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.
- strong analytical skills and attention to detail in order to interpret performance data and activity with an ability to write reports/letters to internal and external stakeholders
- good understanding of business management functions and governance framework within NELFT
- strong interpersonal skills, able to influence and work closely with senior leadership team in order to meet tight deadlines and provide key support to services to ensure quality and patient safety
- some experience on reporting data systems, such as, System One, Rio, Datix, Power Bi

The post holder will focus particularly on service targets in relation to service contract and assist corporate functions in developing these.

The post holder will provide support to Business Manager in producing and negotiating relevant business cases, attend contract meetings, support new and on-going projects and play an active role in service development and transformation.
