**£40,000 - £55,000 dependent upon experience**

Our client is a thriving and in demand civil engineering and utilities Company who are seeking an Estimator to join their Commercial Team.

You'll be working in the Black Country (West Midlands) for a growing company who specialise in multi-disciplined civil engineering and utility works throughout the UK.

Reporting to the Senior Estimator, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and reviewing effective commercial practices throughout the Business.

**Responsibilities**
- Evaluate project scope and define client requirements at enquiry stage.
- Prepare estimates using first principles methodology built up using company estimating software and resource libraries (RIB CCS Candy)
- Effectively manage workload and tender completions/submissions
- Prepare supporting documentation for estimates using various software packages: design sketches, take-offs, BoQs, submission documents for effective communication at review/ adjudication and post tender stages.
- Compile estimates with careful consideration for due diligence, commercial integrity, and rigorous attention to detail.
- Prepare estimates using company estimating software and resource libraries (RIB CCS Candy)
- Effectively manage workload and tender completions/submissions
- Prepare supporting documentation for estimates using various software packages: design sketches, take-offs, BoQs, submission documents for effective communication at review/ adjudication and post tender stages
- Manage re-quotes and tender amendments as requested by the client, BDM or estimating manager.
- Prepare and submit commercially approved tender documents as required.
- Compile comprehensive handover documents and attend estimating/operations handover meetings upon contract award

**Requirements**:

- Estimating experience within a relevant sector in the Construction industry.
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying/Build Environment OR
- Qualified by Experience
- Excellent communications skills
- Solid commercial awareness and analytical skills
- Experience of using RIB CCS Candy (desirable, not essential)
- Proficient in use of Microsoft software packages; Excel, Project, Word
