**Maintenance Technician**

**Temporary, full time**

**_Do you have an enhanced DBS? _**
- Our Bedford based client is looking for a hardworking and reliable Maintenance Technician to work under the senior Maintenance Technician._

**Salary: £13.20 per hour**

**Hours: 40 hours a week**

**Responsibilities / duties**:

- Carrying out basic maintenance duties as requested by Senior Maintenance Technician
- To undertake regular inspections, maintenance and management to ensure the efficient operations of the building’s heating and water systems; ensuring the maintenance of fire protection and security equipment
- To undertake proactive maintenance, specifically additional servicing to plant supporting all buildings and sites to ensure that all plant and equipment operate in a safe working order and to any standard of instruction of warranty
- To carry out additional repairs to the fabric of all buildings

**Skills / Experience**:

- Enhanced DBS is essential
- City & Guilds Craft Engineering level 3 or NVQ 3 in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Experience within similar role is essential
- Ability to liaise with contractors working on site on a day to day basis
- Ability to communicate effectively face-to-face, on the telephone and in writing
- Effective IT skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Ability to work on own initiative
- Ability to achieve positive working relationships
