A highly successful financial services client of mine are hiring for a newly created Treasury Operations Manager to lead a team of nine in their day to day activities as well as managing some exciting ongoing projects.

With this role reporting directly into the Global Head of Treasury Operations, this team act as the centralised hub for the businesses global activity, with the role taking responsible for all operational activity including payments, reconciliations, fixedincome settlements, bank account management as well as working closely with management to ensure the function scales, both in terms of head count and processes, to meet with future growth plans.

Brief overview of responsibilities
- People management and development of a team of nine
- Point of escalation for all banking issues and owner of banking relationships
- Oversight of daily nostro, cash and OTE reconciliations including client balance, exchanges/clearing houses and intermediary brokers
- Assist with various projects including a TMS implementation
- Deliver improvements and drive efficiencies across Treasury Operations processes and controls
- Assist the Head of Treasury Ops in supporting team and departmental growth

To be a good fit for this role:

- Several years of treasury operations management experience including demonstrable leadership and team development skills
- An in depth knowledge of treasury operations within the financial services sector, including experience with global payments, reconciliations, SWIFT principles, futures and options clearing and reconciliations, and ideally CASS guidelines
- Experience with assisting in treasury project work
- Ability to be able to work in a pressurised environment
- Proven experience in building and developing effective processes in complex businesses

This role has been newly created due to business growth, and as well as having a lot of ownership from day one, is likely have very good development opportunities later down the line as the business continue to acquire and build into new global markets.
