**Job Overview**
A Support Worker is required to assist the basic needs of people with profound and multiple learning disabilities in line with their support plans and guidelines.

To support people with profound and multiple learning disabilities in sessions to achieve the outcomes they want as specified. s.

**Experience**
- Being able to communicate with service users in a way which is empathetic, engaging and clear.
- The ability to be calm, patient and adaptable when supporting people with profound and multiple learning disabilities
- The ability to maintain focus when working with individuals we support.
- To have a consistent approach in line with each individuals support plan
- Ability to motivate the person you are working with by recognising and celebrating all their individual achievements.
- The ability to engage with the people you are supporting by using a range of verbal and non-verbal communication styles.
- Ability to work constructively as part of a team
- Ability to Pass the Care Certificate training and to completing all work in 12 weeks
- Able to work in a safe manner and to be aware of the safety of people.
- Some understanding of the diverse needs of local residents and how this may impact on the work of the home or centre
- Be flexible and willing to work across services.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 2 months

Pay: £14.00-£17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week
