Job Introduction
This is a 15 Month Fixed Term Contract
The core objective of the role is to ensure accurate and timely monitoring of Card Factory store bankings.
Working as part of a small team, you’ll monitor activity on a daily basis and work with a range of stakeholders including our colleagues in store, banks, cash collection agencies and the Loss Prevention team.
You will be responsible for setting up banking facilities for new stores, replenishing paying in books and administering the post for the Finance team.
You’ll be the first point of contact for stores for Finance-related queries.
Main Responsibilities
- Daily monitoring of transactions including store banking, credit cards and paid outs
- Daily upload of bank statements to SAP system
- Report suspected losses, Manage discrepancies on any credit card payments
- Setting up banking facilities for new stores including G4S cash collections
- Supporting stores with alternative arrangements in the event of bank closures or missed collections
- Ordering paying in books for stores as required
- Responsible for sorting and distribution of the post for Finance
- Good level of computer literacy - Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Teams are essential
- Competent in Excel, able to write basic formulas and work with established spreadsheets
- Organised and able to use own initiative
- Work to a high level of accuracy
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Professional phone manner
