**Vacancy at Discovery College (YMCA Plymouth), Honicknowle Lane, Plymouth**

YMCA Plymouth currently requires **two teaching assistants** to work with students in its ‘Discovery College’.

**Role 1: Full time post 37.5 hours per week (Monday-Friday)**

**Role 2: Part time 18.75 hours (2.5 days, can be negotiated)**

These posts is are within school hours and are term time only posts. A 6-month probationary period will apply.

These posts are fixed term appointment contracts of one year but can be extended or made permanent.

The current salary is £22,308 per annum (full time, pro rata for part time post)

The roles are an integral part of the College. The successful applicants will work both independently and under the instruction/guidance of teaching/senior staff undertaking work/care/support to enable students’ better access to learning and to assist the teacher in the management of students in the classroom. In addition, caring for the health needs and well-being of students whilst under their supervision.
