Technical Buyer - Somerset - Permanent - £30,000 - £36,000 ARM are delighted to be supporting a dynamic, progressive, privately owned company with customers all over the world. We are recruiting for a Technical Buyer to join them on a permanent basis in Guildford, Surrey. This role sits withing the Procurement team and focuses on providing a high-quality service ensuring that products are planned and purchased in an efficient and cost-effective manner. **Responsibilities**: - Work closely with engineering and Operations to ensure materials and parts are correctly sourced - Prepare material enquiries based on Technical BOM - Compile and analyse quotations from global suppliers - Resolution of Technical queries; liaison with relevant departments and timely response to suppliers. - Negotiate and commit purchase orders - Negotiate and implement partnership agreements - Develop and maintain proactive working relationships with supply base. - Update and communicate latest lead-time situation for responsible Categories. - Identification and implementation of cost saving and working capital initiatives. **Requirements**: - Relevant procurement experience within a technical engineering environment - Experience in negotiations, both ad-hoc and strategic - Experience with sourcing side of New Product Introduction - Understanding of technical information and experience in the purchase of engineering products - MCIPS qualified - Desirable. - Ability to work alone and as part of a team. - Good IT skills in Word and Excel.
