**Job Duties**

To support the Number 1 Press Minder in producing high quality commercial print with primarily responsibility for assisting in the set up and running of Heidelberg XL presses, including accountability for quality control checks.

Key responsibilities:

- Assist in the efficient set up and running of Heidelberg XL Presses, including but not limited to Make-Ready, reel changes and restocking ink levels.
- Efficiently obtain and prepare printing plates, paper, ink and wallets to ensure continuity of production.
- Rule up sample sheets and conduct quality checks in line with IMS131 Litho Press Make Ready and Run Procedure, reporting any deviations immediately to the Account Manager.
- Ensure traceability of reels and reel returns are accurate.
- Assist the Number 1 Press Minder to ensure optimum production figures are achieved each shift.
- Assist the Number 1 Press Minder in identify routine maintenance issues.
- Diligently monitor the quality of the print during a run, promptly raising concerns as they arise.
- Clean presses after a print run has finished (either manually or using automatic cleaning systems).
- Where suitably trained in the use of clamp trucks and forklifts, collect and return paper reels as required.
- Carry out adhoc activities required to ensure the continuity of production, including but not limited to collecting pallet tickets or changing paper skips, when needed
- Work in accordance with all Health & Safety instructions, ensuring housekeeping standards are met on a daily basis.
- Promptly report any issues or incidents via Entropy.
- Assist in investigations, as required.
- Participate in the training and development of apprentices and trainees.

**Personal Specification**
2-3 years previous lithographic printing experience, preferably with Heidelberg XL presses. Basic English and Maths skills. Understanding of Heidelberg Prinect operating software. Highly motivated with a positive attitude. Approachable and able to earn thetrust and respect of others. Punctual, reliable and flexible. Ability to pass a colour test is required.
**Salary**
£25K per annum
**Hours
**12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week

**Benefits**

Monday-Sunday, 264hr of annual leave per annum
