**About the role...**

Do you have Warehouse experience? Do you have experience of working in chilled, freezer and ambient areas? If you are confident and enthusiastic with good knowledge of warehouse procedures, then we might just have the job for you

As a Warehouse Operative you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse activities. You will be responsible for the efficient handling, storage, and dispatch of bakery ingredients, ensuring accuracy, safety, and hygiene standards are maintained at all times. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively within a team.

**Main Duties include**:

- Accurately picking and packing ambient and chilled products effectively and efficiently
- Wrapping of pallets
- Locating specific items around the warehouse
- Safely picking items from shelves, using forklifts or mechanical handling equipment where necessary.
- Receiving / checking goods in
- Avoiding damages to stock through proper manual handing
- Keeping work areas clean and tidy
- Using forklift and pallet trucks
- Adhering to all health and safety procedures
- Washing and drying dishes and keeping the kitchen in a presentable manner is the responsibility of all employees in the absence of the catering assistant.
- To carry out given duties/instructions by shift supervisor
- Loading/Unloading of vehicles in line with given instructions.
- To carry out any hygiene/maintenance related duty, or any other task deemed appropriate by the manager/shift supervisor in any part of the site.

**Essential Requirements**:

- Manual handling experience
- Experience operating a computerized inventory control system
- Ability to use own initiative
- Ability to work under minimum supervision
- Warehouse experience
- Flexible, good communicator and enthusiastic

**Desirable Requirements**:

- Experience in the Food Service Industry.
- Experience of Food Hygiene Standards.
