We are partnering with a world leading investment bank who are looking for a Calypso Developer on a 12 month contract.

**Calypso Developer - 12 Month Contract - Banking - London (Remote)**

The Calypso Developer will work on an established Calypso implementation which includes Valuations, Derivatives Management, Clearing and Collateral Management. The team comprises around IT resources globally including business analysis team that form partof our overall MODA Calypso delivery team.In addition to working within Calypso in a number of previous projects, you will be an experienced Developer with a good understanding of the challenges of delivering global, high volume, multi-user, and system criticalsoftware within an investment banking environment. You will have a good knowledge of financial services processes and the ability to transform operational requirements into sustainable technical solutions.

Essential Experience:

- 5 years plus IT experience with hands-on technology and project delivery.
- 5 years plus experience working on the Calypso (vendor) product.
- Demonstrable (minimum 2 years) experience implementing solutions for Derivatives Management, Securities and Collateral Management
- Strong proficiency in Java, SQL, Unix (shell scripting) with good understanding of the Java Spring framework.
- Ability to create CI/CD automated solutions using technologies such as Jenkins/ Ansible
- Strong configuration and design experience to ensure solutions implemented are supportable
- Key to the success of the individual will be their ability to take on new responsibility, be accountable and innovative.
- Solid communication and organisation skills.
- The **ability to build relationships within the wider HSBC teams** globally (e.g. UK, Hong Kong, Colombo, Toronto,etc.)
- Excellent understanding of agile / test driven-development methodology.
- Demonstrable experience working within an agile development experience
- Demonstrable experience using test automation tools
- Experience with version control systems such as Git, BitBucket

Ideal experience:

- Knowledge of Derivatives Management & Clearing lifecycle events
- Good grasp of Microservices Architecture.
- Experience working with release and tracking tools such as JIRA.
- Solid understanding of DevSecOps practices and tooling#
- Familiarity or experience building RESTful web services
