**Support Worker/Home Care Assistant, **with Minster Home Care

Established in 2020, Minster Home Care is an expanding domiciliary care company based in York. The company was started to provide exceptional care, so we enable our clients to remain happy, supported and safe at home.

The role entails travelling around the York area visiting clients in their own home to provide personal care and companionship services. **To apply, applicants must hold a drivers licence with access to a vehicle.**

We offer benefits such as **weekly paid mileage**, **flexible hours **and have various **staff incentives **for our team**. We also pay drivers for all travelling time.**

**We have partnered with The UK Growth Company and are able to offer free NVQ training.**

**What hours would I work?**
You will work on a permanent shift pattern, leaving you free to organise and enjoy your own personal time with friends and family. We have various shifts available and operate a week 1 and week 2 rota on a continuous cycle so you have a regular working pattern.

- **45 pence** per business mile for every mile travelled, paid weekly
- **Free vehicle MOT **inspection for drivers**, **or a **free bicycle service** for cyclists

- **Contract of employment with company pension and 5.6 weeks annual leave **(pro-rata)

**What does working as a Support Worker/Home Care Assistant involve?**
- Providing **Personal Care & Companionship services**:

**What happens when I start working at Minster Home Care?**
Before you meet any of our clients, you will attend an induction at our office and a moving and handling training course. You will be paid for all training.
After this, you will shadow a colleague so that you become comfortable and settle into your new role. As the business grows, there are often great opportunities to develop your career with various NVQ courses and accreditations available. All you need is a caring nature and a positive attitude
