We are looking for an experienced individual to join our Operating Service Centre in Hull as a Shift Supervisor.

**_LOCATION: _**_Hull, East Yorkshire_**
**_EXPERIENCE: Working in operating environment such as an air separation unit or other manufacturing plant _**

**As the Operating Service Centre (OSC) Shift Supervisor, you will control and monitor**
- Large (mother) plants on behalf of the local operating teams (Remote operation)
- Manned sites (Remote monitoring, supervision and optimisation)
- Unmanned satellite plants of the base mother plants (Remote monitoring, supervision and optimisation)
- Non-cryogenic plants (alarm management, monitoring and communication)
- Act as the Operating Service Centre (OSC) Manager’s representative on shift and at all times in the absence of OSC Manager. Control the continuous operation of multiple plants, making real-time decisions to ensure production requirements & targets are met as defined by Supply Chain Management.
- Be the first point of contact for Air Products business, Supply Chain, and external customer queries.
- Continuous supervision, control & optimisation of plant processes including satellite plants.
- Meet defined production plans, plant rates & product splits
- Meet defined outage & load shedding plans
- Ensuring VAX routines in use; Starting/stopping remote plants as required
- Optimisation of plant performance to meet efficiency targets
- Monitoring, control, remote start/stops and alarm management of non-cryogenic plants
- Provide 1st line (remote) operational response for plant troubleshooting
- Completion of plant logbooks and OSC status communication systems
- Assist plant management in development of OSC SWIM’s
- Lead major on-site plant start-ups and shut-downs.
- Provide shift cover as required to ensure continuous supervision is maintained in accordance with local shift cover arrangements.
- To be able, as required, to stand in for OSC Management should circumstances make this necessary.

**As the Operating Service Centre (OSC) Shift Supervisor, you**
**already are or have**
- Relevant work experience in an operating environment such as an air separation unit or other manufacturing plant is a pre-requisite.
- Strong somputer skills
- Good organisation and planning skills
- Good interpersonal and team working skills (Customers, Regulators bodies, Plant teams, AP contacts)).
- Self-motivated.
- To be able to work independently
