Our CAMHS West Specialist Community Team (SCT) delivers treatments to young people in the West Berks area living with more complex, severe, & enduring mental health conditions.
**This Advanced Mental Health Practitioner role includes**:
Initial assessments & delivering face-to-face therapies based on unique needs
Collaborating with a highly knowledgeable & experienced team of psychiatrists, family therapists, psychologists & specialist practitioners
Participating in weekly meetings to discuss cases & coordinate care
Working with local agencies & community partners, with whom we have strong connections
You’ll have demonstrable experience in CAMHS, be thoughtful & reflective, & have the flexibility to integrate into a multi-disciplinary team.

Provide comprehensive assessments and therapeutic interventions to, and care co-ordination for, young people and their families, as appropriate.
Independently manage an appropriately sized caseload.
Complete risk reviews and update and advise on safety & care plans.
Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team as well as patients, carers, family members and internal and external agencies
Work autonomously within professional guidelines and exercise responsibility for the systematic governance of psychological practice.
To identify and report any safeguarding issues as they may arise.

- **The “must haves” for this role**:
Degree qualification in relevant field and a core profession (e.g.: Mental Health Nurse, Systemic Family Psychotherapist, Clinical Psychologist, Occupational Therapist, Social Worker)
**Registration with relevant recognised professional body (e.g.**: NMC, HCPC)
Significant post qualifying experience in CAMHS or an equivalent therapeutic setting.
