**The Role**

As a Home Delivery Driver you will be working alongside the home delivery team and reporting into the Regional Home Delivery Manager/Lead Driver. Tasks will include but are not limited to;
= To ensure all goods loaded correspond with delivery paperwork

= Ensure customers receive the correct goods and all associated paperwork is completed

= Ensure the vehicle is safe to drive and free from defect or damage

= Ensure all goods are loaded and transported in a secure and safe manner

= Ensure daily vehicle defect is completed and returned to management prior to departure

= Present a professional image to all colleagues, clients and customers

= Timely and appropriate communication with customers

= Deliver goods as required by the customers, room of choice

= Comply with client/customer delivery process and onsite procedures

= Ensure all goods have been checked for accuracy or damage during loading or unloading the vehicle

= Report any shortages or damages to supervisors at the point of despatch or delivery

= Ensure failed deliveries are dealt with in accordance with procedures

= Promote open and honest communication

= To comply with the relevant statutory legislation while driving company vehicles

= Promotion and maintenance of a Health & Safety environment

**Who are we looking for?**

You will be able to demonstrate a sound understanding of health and safety procedures and legislation and an eagerness to ensure health and safety compliance in all that you do.

**Required skills and experience**:

- Clear criminal record check
- A valid B1 full UK driving license with a maximum of 3 points and no IN10 or DR endorsements
- Good understanding of written English and Maths to GCSE standard (or equivalent)
- Experience of driving 3.5T vehicles.
- A good understanding of drivers hours and regulations and the working time directive
- Knowledge of Tachograph use and current EU legislation
- Good geographical knowledge
- A good understanding of written English and Maths to GCSE standard (or equivalent)
- Flexible approach to work
- Experience of driving in and around London would be highly desirable
