HR Advisor

We are looking for a People & Learning Officer to provide support to the organisation.

Position: People & Learning Officer

Location: Dudley with some homeworking

**Salary**: £25,000 - £30,000 pa

Hours: 35 hours per week - Monday to Friday

Contract: 6 months'; temporary

Benefits: 28 days'; annual leave, 6% pension contribution, occupational sick pay, eye care vouchers.

Closing Date: 28th February

About the Role

People & Learning Officer will ensure that the charity employs the right employees with relevant skills and experience and that Line Managers are able to manage effectively and that training and development opportunities are available to employees to enhance their performance and achieve the charitys goals.

Key responsibilities include:
*Provide employment law and policy advice to employees and line managers

*Provide HR administrative support for all aspects of the employment cycle

*Provide Employee Relations support to line managers and employees

*Monitor employee probationary periods to ensure they are completed successfully

*Deliver employee inductions

*Manage employee short and long-term absence with line managers and employees

*Provide advice and administrative support for family friendly policies e.g. Maternity Leave

*Analyse training needs in conjunction with departmental managers

*Manage employee training by sourcing and booking courses, logging training records, ensuring renewals are completed

*Maintain policies and procedures to ensure they are up to date and comply with current legislation and guidelines

*Create and produce ad hoc and regular reports

About You

As People & Learning Officer, you will have experience in a similar role and a passion for the organisations mission.

You will have:
*Work experience in a Human Resources department

*Knowledge of Employment Law and practices

*Experience dealing with Employee Relations issues and advising managers High level of attention to detail

*Experience of using a HR Information System

This registered charity has nearly 50 years'; experience in providing residential support and treatment for people who are severely addicted to gambling. They provide advice, education and high quality innovative therapeutic support to problem gamblers and those affected by gambling, through residential, online and outreach services.
