An outstanding SEMH and Autism, Alternative Provision in Cheltenham is currently recruiting for a Learning Support Assistants to join them ASAP. The school cater for children with Autism, ADHD, OCD and Complex Social needs, all through positive and holistic,therapeutic models. Many of the students have trauma, SEN, behavioural challenges as well as adjacent mental health challenges. This is an exciting opportunity for a graduate or experienced teaching assistant to develop their experience with Special EducationalNeeds and Behavioural Needs. #

Can you keep these children safe, secure? Can you demonstrate the value of a education when working with children who have been through significant change or trauma in their life?

The position will be working 1:1 with pupils with Autism, verbal and nonverbal and Challenging Behaviour in the school. The context of the role depends on the context of the class, which is incredibly diverse within the school. The Learning Support Assistantwill have the opportunity to work closely with children who have mental health difficulties, display challenging behaviour and have suffered significant traumas. Degrees of particular interest would include Psychology and Criminology backgrounds.

All Education and Training is provided, a trial day takes place to ensure it's the right context for you.
