Job description:
Your key responsibilities as Finance Data Analyst will consist of:

- Produce and analyse financial exception reports required across all UK businesses, summarising findings for areas requiring further investigation or site audits
- Highlight specific risks and issues at individual sites based on the data
- Review trends across the business and highlight where financial controls need to be improved
- Review site based returns and perform sample checks to validate VAT compliance
- Identify potential for any specific stock audits based on risk analysis
- Provide monthly reporting to the business to highlight risk areas / unusual trends and status of compliance issues
- Assist in ad hoc projects and tasks as required by the business
- Delivery of monthly reporting and active monitoring of risk areas/explanation for unusual trends:

- Cold food takeaway analysis
- Accuracy of InSight returns for point of sales turnover
- Stock holding
- To question ‘As-Is' in a constructive and confident manner
- Proactive coordination with colleagues in Finance and other teams to ensure timely delivery of information to achieve own accountabilities
- Continuously look for ways to improve, problem solve and develop processes

Profile description:
The experience and knowledge we are looking for from our future Finance Data Analyst include:

- Part qualified accountant or qualified by experience
- Knowledge of VAT issues impacting the contract catering industry
- IT literate with high level of Excel skills
- Ability to develop reporting output from Business Objects/ SAP
- Strong communication skills to various levels of stakeholders
- Ability to use own initiative & manage own workload to achieve deadlines
- Strong attention to detail
