A leading Welsh charity is now looking for an empathetic and caring **Support Worker** to join the team in supporting children throughout Pembrokeshire with complex clinical, medical & physical needs as a **Children’s Clinical Support Worker**.
The Children’s Community Team provides valuable support to children with specialist health needs, their loved ones, and their carers, enabling vulnerable children to receive the care they need while staying comfortable at home. The wider charity aids vulnerablepeople of all ages who are facing difficult circumstances, such as with physical or mental health, substance misuse, the criminal justice system, or loss of sufficient housing/ employment.
As a **Children’s Clinical Support Worker**, you will provide expert one-to-one overnight support - predominantly within the child’s home, occasionally within a residential respite setting - encompassing elements of specialist personal care,nutritional support, mobility, and medication, all while respecting the wellbeing and independence of the children in your care.
**You will receive full training** for all child-specific specialist needs, such as oxygen therapy, tube feeding and tracheostomy care.
This is a **permanent** role for a Children’s Support Worker, working **waking night shifts. Full-time and part-time hours are available**.
**Person specification**:
You **_must_** demonstrate an understanding of person-centred care and children’s welfare.
You **_must_** have the confidence and commitment to undertake any specialist training required.
You **_must_** have a valid UK driving license.
Previous experience in providing care and support services is **_preferred but not essential_**.
