**About the role;**

The Babysitter will provide high-quality childcare in a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children in their homes or at designated care facilities. The role involves supporting the child’s development, meeting their daily needs, and ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.

**Responsibilities;**

1. **Childcare and Supervision**:

- Supervise and monitor the safety of children at all times.
- Plan, prepare, and serve nutritious meals and snacks, adhering to dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities, including play, reading, arts and crafts, and educational games.
- Assist with personal care tasks such as diapering, toileting, bathing, and dressing.
- Follow the child's routine, including nap times, feeding schedules, and bedtime routines.

2. **Development and Learning Support**:

- Foster a positive and stimulating environment that supports the physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development of children.
- Encourage appropriate social behaviors through positive discipline and guidance.
- Assist with homework and other educational tasks as needed.
- Plan and organize educational outings and activities to promote learning and exploration.

3. **Health, Safety, and Well-being**:

- Ensure a clean, tidy, and hazard-free environment, adhering to health and safety standards at all times.
- Administer basic first aid when necessary and respond appropriately to emergencies.
- Monitor and report any concerns regarding the child’s health, development, or behavior to parents or guardians promptly.
- Comply with all safeguarding protocols and procedures.

4. **Communication**:

- Maintain open and effective communication with parents, guardians, and other caregivers regarding the child’s needs, progress, and daily activities.
- Keep accurate records of daily activities, meals, incidents, and observations.
- Work collaboratively with parents to align caregiving with family values and expectations.

5. **Household Support (as needed)**:

- Assist with light household duties related to childcare, including cleaning up after meals, organizing toys, and maintaining the child's room or play area.
- Support with planning and organizing children's schedules, appointments, and extracurricular activities.
- **Qualifications**:

- A minimum of a Level 2 or 3 qualification in childcare or equivalent.
- Certification in First Aid, CPR, and basic childcare safety.
- Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate activities.
- **Experience**:

- Proven experience as a babysitter, nanny, or childcare provider.
- Experience working with children of various ages, from infants to teenagers.
- **Skills**:

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to engage children in meaningful activities that promote learning and development.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- A caring, patient, and responsible attitude towards children.
- **Other Requirements**:

- Enhanced DBS check or equivalent clearance.
- A valid right to work in the UK.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays when required.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Zero hours contract

Pay: £11.02-£19.85 per hour
