**Mechanical Team Leader**

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a motivated, experienced Mechanical Team Leader to join the team at a successful, global manufacturer at their site in Wakefield.

**Main Responsibilities of Mechanical Team Leader**:

- As a supervisor you will be responsible for your own personal safety and that of all personnel under your authority.
- Promote strong and visible Health and Safety leadership.
- Drive safety improvements within your team.
- Monitor the inspection process to ensure that the correct inspection set ups are followed.
- Attend daily meetings to gain awareness hi-light any engineering issues that have taken place in the Inspection Department.
- Establish an effective communication flow between departments and senior management to maintain a well-informed team.
- Build a high-performance team.
- Promote an environment of trust and respect.
- Ensure your team are trained and competent.
- Identify opportunities to develop capability of equipment performance, to ensure standards are continuously improved.

**Requirements of **Mechanical Team Leader**:

- Engineering apprentice trained and qualified.
- Manufacturing Background
- Highly motivated individual with excellent analytical and communication skills
- Team Leadership skills/ people management skills
- Lean Manufacturing experience
- IT Skills
- Including, PowerPoint, Excel, Word + SAP
- An understanding of the Company's Health, Safety and Hygiene Policy
- Good standard of numeracy and literacy skills
- Working towards, or willing to achieve, IOSH Managing Safety.
