Mechanical Technician
We are working with a client in the bulk fuel industry, based near Portsmouth.
They are actively seeking to appoint a Mechanical Technician (12 month fixed term contract)
Are you looking for your next contract position? Do you have experience on hazardous area sites as a Mechanical Technician?
The role
- Respond to immediate equipment breaks and carry out the relevant tests and repairs when necessary
- Carry out routine maintenance, quality checks, inspection activities to analyse any defects or repairs of the fuel storage plant and equipment
- Use diagnostic techniques to identify faults to carry out any necessary repairs for the OFD Depots; including the plant and equipment
- Organise and prepare the working area for more complex maintenance of the depot, systems or components.
- Accept and affirm responsibility for the control of depot systems and equipment inside the work area isolation border and conduct a safe and effective handover of depot systems and equipment to others.
- After the depot, systems, and components have been maintained, re-establish the work area.
- Carry out PPM and additional work needs in line with HASAWA criteria, while adhering to defined engineering standards.
**REQUIREMENTS**:
Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role
Experience in Oil & Gas industry or similar
Must be willing to undertake short notice overtime work
Compex Training
